For Users of SCAL1 and SCAL2

Post by sstehman »

This information was posted by CraftEdge in response to another forum question and thought I warranted posting separately for those still using SCAL2 and their Expression.

_______

If you previously purchased version 1 or 2, you can download them (latest update) here
http://www.craftedge.com/updates

While version 1 and 2 are the last versions to be able to cut with the Cricut, you can use newer versions, such as version 3 to do your design/layout work, and then from the File menu, choose Send to Sure Cuts A Lot 2 to send the design to version 2 for cutting.

I didn't think version 1 let you update to version 3 for free. I remember reading that originally you had to purchase a new program to go from version 1 to version 2, and that version 1 was not included in the free upgrade to version 3. This might be something to look into. :-)

I don't think their post is referring to updating to SCAL3. It was to show that if you have SCAL3, you can create in SCAL3 (which has more features) and still use those files in SCAL1 or 2 for use with your Cricut.
