CD or Downloadable version

Post by bamomma »

I am considering getting SCAL and have been doing some research. I see there is a CD version or you can download the program right to your computer. What are the pros and cons of each? Are there any differences? Recommendations? Where's the best place to get the program?

I just got the download. I don't need the CD. If you write down your activation code or whatever numbers when you download it and keep the first e-mail from Todd at Craft Edge, then you would have the proof of purchase you need in case of computer crashes. The main advantage of the download is that you can use SCAL right away and not have to wait for a CD to come in the mail. I paid around $70 for the download last year at www.craftedge.com and thought it was worth every penny. Sorry I don't have a coupon code to share.

Thanks for the info. SCAL seems like a great program. I tried the DS but thought it was too much work. I like the trial version of SCAL so I'm saving up my pennies and will make the purchase.
