HELP! SCAL 2 stopped working!

I'm seriously confused. I have a Cricut Expression and was cutting and cutting today with SCAL 2 (latest update) and my Macintosh update notification popped up to update iTunes while I was cutting, and even though I cancelled the notification, it disrupted my USB connection. Ever since that happened, my cricut won't connect in SCAL. I restarted the cricut, restarted the computer, restarted SCAL, and reset my cricut. Nothing has worked. I even re-installed SCAL, and it still won't work. My expression is using the 2.4 firmware. It's had that firmware since I got it, and it was working just fine until the USB issue. Any ideas? I'm insane about it! I use SCAL all the time to draw and cut my own designs!!

What is the version of SCAL2 you are using?

Hi mine always stops working I had to uninstall it remove all registry settings the reinstall it now the program stop but I just install over it a bit of a bind but it works ok

I have been working with Craftedge, but nothing has worked. I deactivated, reinstalled the latest SCAL 2 version with the link they provided, changed cables, cleaned my Mac permissions....everything. It still won't work. I hooked it to my daughter's PC and installed SCAL2 on that and it recognized my cricut finally, but doesn't get past "checking cartridge." I'm stumped. Works in CCR of course, and with the few cartridges I tried (without being connected to PC). I'm at a loss. BTW, I finally hooked up my Personal and it worked fine on SCAL2 on the PC.

Very frustrating.
