to all eclips owners

Post by angel »

this is the third time ive tried to post this, but after i submit it tells me to log back in, anyway,

As alot of people know my second machine started going crazy again, so I called sizzix and they are sending a replacement. Great customer service and great machine as long as the sensors dont go out. I have seen people on their fifth machine. But your only the lucky one if your machine is still under warranty.

I decided to inquire more about this problem and they told me they have redone the usb cord, as it now has a two prong plug on the end that plugs into your machine, because the other was getting power from the usb end from your computer and they are hoping this helps with the issue.

I feel that they should be recalling these machines, and I wanted to let you guys know about the new change, this machine isnt cheap enough to have to buy another after a year because the sensors went out. Its your call to call them and see if you can get a replacement, I urge you to, if you have had your machine replaced before.

Again Im not bashing them in any way, they have great customer service, thats one of the reasons I bought the machine in the first place, but we do have to look out for number one here.

Have a great day :D

Angel, this is good information...I am on my second eclipse...just barely made the warranty deadline for expiration of my old one. WHEW

I have a question about the new USB cable. I have the cable with the extra USB plug in but since the cable came with no instructions I only plugged in the main one. Do you mean that I need to plug in the second one also? I'm beginning to run out of USB ports.

Thanks for anymore insights you have.

Susan, The replacement cable should have been labeled. The direct line (with a blue tag) is for the remote and the little pigtail (with a red tag) is for the computer. Also, it says that you should NOT plug in both the remote and the computer at the same time.

I wonder if they will warranty any machine, because this is a defect, for an additional number of years or like you said start a recall of the machines.

This is good information and I had the same problem you did posting. I clicked that little box to keep me logged in and now the site doesn't time out on me.
