Sonic the Hedgehog?

Hi folks, i have started cutting vinyl for my neices bedroom and she is totally mad about sonic the hedgehog and all the rest of the charcters and i would love to manage to surprise her with these, just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to get files for them or will i have to try and make up my own files? I hope someone can help me with this, even if its to say that i can't get them because of copyright etc!

It looked like there might be some out there...via google. I did not see any here on this board. You can make them yourself so easy using scal and it's 'trace' feature. Just give it a try...you will see that it is simple and if you can't figure it out...there are many here to answer your questions. Sounds like a fun project.

Hi there, thanks for your speedy reply! I have spent the last two days going through Google and not one of them have actually been scal file or even a decent svg! There is a sonic head though so I will have a go with that one although it's a whole body I was looking for! I am intending on going through the posts about making my own files when I get the chance though because it would be a great skill to have in future!

It sounds like right now is the perfect time to learn. Pick a picture and save it to your desktop and then go to File and Trace in scal and then find the picture in Browse, open it and click ok and see what happens. Then, let us know how you are doing. If it works for you, you can Edit, and Select all, and then Object and Break apart and then pull the pieces off to cut in different colors. You might also need to click on View and Show Outlines Only.

Try google for sonic hedgehog coloring pages like this one. I think you will be ably to trace and brake apart several of these. In Inkscape for sure and SCAL/eCAL. I am not at my computer so cannot test.

That is great, thanks so much guys, i will be giving this a go later today once i get time, why is there always more boring things to do rather than the fun stuff?! Lol!!I will let you know how i get on! x
