How to Engrave a Fill on Metal using SCAL

Post by hotglass »

I'm using Sure Cuts A Lot on a Black Cat Cougar on a Mac. I need to know how I would do a Fill Engraving? So far I've only been able to do outline engraving. I am using the engraving bullet.

Thanks!

So are you talking about removing the metal within a design? If you figure it out can you video it, my dad owns a sheet metal shop and I've seen him do things like that on the mill but didn't know the Cougar could do that...
If you aren't learning something new everyday you might as well just lie in a grave and wait for death.

It would make sense, that if the Cougar will fill with color, that it can also cut a solid area. The key is...... finding out how to set this up on SCAL.

Please, anyone with info on this help us out!!!!

Thanks!

I have a way to do it with Inkscape. The same principle would work in SCAL or you could import from Inkscape

For outline engraving there is need of little care. As it could cause a cut on metal edge and could damage the metal sheet. But it will be better to make border firstly and than start engraving within the border.
