Hello:
This is my first go at Print 2 Cut. I opened my .svg and then hit Print2Cut. I follow the prompts. First says to use the print button below to print your image. Ok. Print registration marks is checked. Print....prints without the registration marks. Am I missing something here? I have tried printing to two different printers - Epson R1800 and Brother HL 2040 - neither printing the marks.
Thank you for any help.
I am running version 1.004 on a Mac.
Registration Mark not printing
Re: Registration Mark not printing
Someone else will have to come along and finish this response...because I don't have the machine...but it is the .jpg or .png picture file that you would print, probably not the .svg...that would be your cutting file. The rest of the operations, I am not familiar with...but someone will come on to assist.
My pictures and files are available for a limited time only.
Re: Registration Mark not printing
Yes, the file was a .jpg that I placed and then saved as a .svg but it wouldn't print the marks prior to saving it as a .svg either.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: Registration Mark not printing
hmmm...you can't just save a .jpg as an .svg...it has to go through the 'trace' of the picture, then what appears on the screen after the trace can be saved as an .svg. I am not sure if this is the situation and what is causing the problem or not...sorry if I am not understanding...but like I said, I don't have that machine...
btt for more help and response.

Re: Registration Mark not printing
Hollie, a jpg that was added to eCAL via file/place image won't print reg marks as you've already learned.
You need to have an image that has been converted (traced) either by eCAL or Inkscape,
This is a good video for what you want to do using only eCAL. I learned some new tricks myself with it.

Come back and tell/show us how you do with it.

Re: Registration Mark not printing
That video is perfect and I got it to work. I think my calibration is a touch off as it keeps leaving a little bit of white on the bottom of the images. I have tried to re calibrate over and over to no avail.
Now, what I would love to be able to do is cut just inside the image to assure a clean cut. Is this possible?
Thank you so much for your help.

Adjust the cut lines to fall inside the print.HollieH wrote:That video is perfect and I got it to work. I think my calibration is a touch off as it keeps leaving a little bit of white on the bottom of the images. I have tried to re calibrate over and over to no avail.

If craft edge made the shadow layer so you could enter negative values that process would be much easier

Software: Windows 7 (64 bit) - SCAL 3 - Inkscape - Illustrator CS4 - Signcut Pro

Cutter 2: Phoenix Silver Bullet Pro 24" connected via Keyspan/ serial

That's exactly what I was thinking. It would be so easy to do that way!Louise-Paisley wrote:

Re: Registration Mark not printing
I have just tried to do this following the instructions on the video but when I bring my image in either a jpg or png it has a box around it and so the shadow traces this! What am I doing wrong?!! Thanks.
