Can not move objects around

I can not move some of my svg files to any spot on the mat that I want. I import several at a time and I am trying to arrange them to fill my paper.

However, when I try to drag the svg using the corner arrows it will move a little bit and then act like I have hit an invisible wall...What am I doing wrong?? It only happens on some of my svg files...not all of them...Is there something that tells them the absolute position they are to be on the mat and won't let them move below that?

Its seems as if it is being held in a group by a yellow box??

Yes sometimes that happens and you get the little yellow lines from where it was and it will only move a little way. It happens to letters directly in SCAL as well.
I just select undo and put it back where it was before I tried to move it, then click out of it and click back in it again and move it and it will work fine the second time.
