Craig,

Can you help me - I love the angel but I want to do the one with the Angel's hands down.

Can you tell me, please, how to turn the PDF file into an cuttable file - I have inkscape and the SCAL.

Or you can can convert the other one for me if you don't want to share the directions on how to convert? (But I would really like to have the directions so I can do other PDF projects.

HI

I have no problems sharing but I Cheated :)

I Used Coreldraw and imported the the pdf into it. Coreldraw can read PDF files and if the pdf was created from a drawing package it can break the pdf apart into the original line work.
Then saved it as a SVG and did the rest in inkscape.
I could have done all of it Coreldraw but I want to get experience in using Inkscape.

The funny thing though was it all sounds easy but when I tried to import the original Coreldraw svg file to SCAL, SCAL was going to make some strange cuts. So I ended up spending some time in Inkscape cleaning the SVG up by making all cut lines all part of one object (1 closed object).

My file on the forum has both angels in there so you should be able to open the SVG in Inkscape and delete the ones you don't want.
If you have any trouble I can separate the angels for you

Cheers

Craig
