How to make a word book?
I have spend 3 hours trying to make a word book using both inkscape and scal... I read susanbluerobot tutorial.. when I make the rectangle then try add letter to it i have put it in the same size as the box but it ends up being smaller and when i try and stretch the letter to be inline with the box i cant get a perfect fit. I am tearing my hair out here if anyone can help I will be eternally grateful

Thank you so much Kristi for your kind offer, but finally worked out how to do it on inkscape using a tutorial from another forum

Re: How to make a word book?
I know it has been awhile, but can you please post the link to the tutorial that you found? I am not even sure if what you were trying to do is what I am looking for... I would appreciate it regardless.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: How to make a word book?
To make a basic word book you don't need to use Inkscape.
Just use SCAL - use the rectangle shape and pick your font and weld the letter and the rectangle together and then cut. Just make each recatangle longer (or start with the last letter and make it the length you want your book to be and then shorten it for each letter that comes before it).
Hope that sort of makes sense.
Also Susan Bluerobot has a lesson on her web site showing how to make a word book with Cricut - which is the same principle as using SCAL

or check out the word books posted under svg on this message board which might give you some help
