Wedding Invite

Post by maureen59 »

My daughter is getting married next year and has asked me to make her wedding invitations. I have a few questions you guys may be able to help me with.
Can I print the names and date on the front somehow? I have never used the print and cut feature and not sure what it does.
Is there a way of embossing the names? so they stand out.
She is my only child and I really want to get it right. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks you

If you use the T text tool you can type the names right in Scal and then print from FILE PRINT from SCAL...you can then lay that print paper on the mat and bring up the rectangle for the invite and cut that for a perfect measurement everytime... with the words in the middle.

From what I understand if you print with the BEST selection from your printer preferences so the ink is heavy you can then put heat emboss powder on top right away and then heat emboss them for a real professional look...I just learn of this and maybe your would want to research it further.

Dry embossing the names would be very difficult with creating any folder type thing. The letters too fine.

also make sure you "calibrate" your machine before so that the cut is exactly where you want it and not off a little. If it is off that would make your words not centered. I just calibrated mine yesterday. :o Finally figured it out as far as which is - and + and which way it should go.
