I need help with this Ram

This is a beautiful image...but too grainy for me to work with...I am not so good at trace.

The RAM's head is way too detailed as is. I'm looking for a ram head without so much detail in the horns to see if we can find one that works. Inkscape is choking on all the nodes in the horns.

Okay I took this into my photo program first to do some color adjustments and then brought into inkscape..
