Help newbie

I just got a free .scut file and want to open scal and print it. I tried importing into inkscape but It wont open. How do I make it into a SVG?

You say you want to 'print' the scut file? I'll presume you did mean that. SCAL doesn't offer a print feature. You could use the cricut markers in place of the blade to draw the file instead of cut it. If you just want a reference print of the file and don't care about a perfect print, just open the file in SCAL and then click on the preview, and then do a Print Screen and print from your photo editing program.
