what am I doing wrong?
I saved this image, viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3230&hilit=crown%2Ftiara but when I try to open it in SCAL (I only have version one on my laptop) it won't open? Who knows what I am doing wrong? I have SCAL 2 on my desktop but never downloaded it on my laptop and I thnk it's too late now Thanks in advance!! Michelle

Try downloading it again because it opened good for me
Not sure if u can still get a copy of scal2 for your laptop biut it doesn't hurt to email craftedge to find out for sure. the do have tech support until december

You are allowed to have one copy on your desktop and one copy on your laptop. If you have your serial number, you should be able to activate SCAL2 on your laptop as long as you have the same operating system (windows or mac).
Also, Just FYI....here is a situation I was having for some files. If I have them organized in a folder, I can't seem to open them direct into SCAL unless I put them on my desk top first. Have not figured out why it happens for some and not others (it is like it can't find it's way to the folder). So if you have an image that is not opening, put it on your desktop temporarily and then try to open in SCAL.

If she has scal1 and she's trying to open a file designed in SCAL2 it won't work..

how do I know if its for SCAL 1 or 2? if its just a SVG should that matter? also when i go to open the file, it says cannot read this file may be invalid or corupt?? anyone else have a crown that is similar to this one??? THANKS for all your help on this!!

You will have to use the File Import to get a .svg into the program when using SCAL1. In SCAL2, there is an icon on the tool bar.

It has happened for me with SCAL2. Did you do what I suggested above?
