If it's a vector PDF you can just import it into SCAL2 like an svg file. If it is a raster (bitmap) image you will need to trace it. You can do this directly from the pdf in Inkscape, or you can convert the pdf to another image type and trace in SCAL2. Can you post a link to where you found the PDF online?

Annie,

I've played with this a while and can't see it getting to something to cut without a gazillion pieces. HeatherM may save you yet. I got this far and would be happy to share the .svg file so far with anyone able and willing to work on it.

If it were me, I'd print the picture (mirror image) colored in or not) onto iron on transfer paper for t-shirts...cut around with scissors to get rid of the corn field if you want and do it that way. You'll be happy with it and it will be done.

I'll keep watching and see what Heather comes up with, she's really goo! Also Amy. DogCarbon, and Lora might be able to do it if they have the time....time will tell.

crossing my fingers for you to get what you need/want.

This is a tough one - before I would attempt it, I would ask how you plan to do this? Are you using the image as a stencil, doing it as vinyl? How many colors and how much detail do you need?
