Seeking some SVG Homemade Embossing Folders & Texture Plates

Post by lharnish »

I'm going to bite the bullet and try and make a homemade embossing folder. I used the search feature here and saw a couple of svg files for a candle and a houndstooth folder. Does anyone have any links to others or files they'd like to share? I particularly liked this heart shaped one:

The possibilities are endless and I just don't know where to start with my own :-)

Thanks!

Here's one I did

I haven't seen very many files specifically for embossing folders, but really any SVG will do.

Don't forget these links:

Here we see an example of a homemade embossing folder made with the heart SVG linked to above.

Here we see an example of a homemade texture plate. http://cuttingcrazy.wordpress.com/2010/ ... re-plates/

(Both made with SVGs cut on a Cricut using SCAL)

I recommend using SVGs that are of little detail. The smaller the pieces (and the more of them that you have), the crazier you will go trying to make it happen!! :-)

Stop by anytime!! (I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it back here, so feel free to drop me a note on my blog.)

Thanks,
Vickie :-)
