I am trying to figure out how to use the skull designs from PDDU with the curlz font in scal. Is this possible or do I need to convert the skull scut into a svg file first. If so, what are the easiest steps. (I do have inkscape). Thanks so much for any help.

You can't use any of the cartridges in SCAL. You can only use SCUT or SVG files in SCAL. You'll need to find the skull as a dingbat and cut it that way.

If you can make a graphic file, such as a jpg or gif from a single object in that cart, then you bring it into Inkscape and create an SVG from it.

How do I save the graphic? When I right click I don't get the normal menu that includes "save Picture as".

No, you wouldn't be able to right click and paste it. You would have to capture it via print screen, or a utility tool that can capture objects for you (such as SnagIt - pricey at $50 but I love it and get a lot of good out of it.) Anyway, once you get the graphic, you can copy it into Inkscape and play with it there.
