I love it when a cut comes together...

Post by AnointedHands »

My theory actually worked. I saw a cut like this on PaperThreads .and thought I would not be able to do it because SCAL will not cut a arc. I was talking on one post realized that the advice I was giving would probably work for the cut I wanted so I tried it and it worked.

Using Inkscape, I made a very thin arc from a circle. Then I duplicated and placed it in a circle to make the flower and then made smaller arcs for the outside. Had to make the arc from the circle since SCAL can't cut a single line arc.

I don't know how to draw very well in Inkscape. There are a lot of tutorials and references to some in these forums. Do those tutorials teach how to draw? I can separate, but not draw. I know to click on the drawing button, but my drawings are really bad and I don't know how to make it look better.

Your flower looks fabulous AH.

Annointed - you're a genious! :D Your flower is beautiful.

wreed - I was thinking the very same thing a little while ago. I can alway get a good cut after playing around in inkscape. I'm a big "node deleter." On the other hand, I can't draw squat! Guess I need more practice.
