My CD requested for a firmware update. Is it save to do? Will SCAL still work after the firmware update?

Yes it is safe to do so.. Go to design studio to update it

I am sooo very new to this programme and forum.
People are talking about a firmware!!
Can someone please tell me what it is and where to find it.
I know I have to add it when I connect my Cricut to the
computer but where do I look.

It's the latest version software for the cricut machine.... as soon as you plug your cricut into your computer it will acknowledge your machine.. If you go to design studio you can download it from there.. then just delete design studio
