Help with image
Help with image
Hi folks - can someone please tell me how I layer my image in Word or Publisher. Have an outline image and want to put it on top of some background paper. Sending forward or back doesn't work as there is still a white box around my image. I want the background print to show through the image. Hope you understand.
Re: Help with image
I am making the assumption that you have inserted a text box into Word...
Go to properties drop down box and find text box... Click on this and it will open up a format box. Under the colours and lines tab you will see one for transparency.
Hope this helps.

No I have a spotted background and have an image I bought on line of an elephant and I want to get the spots to show through the elephant. Can't find anything that says transparency - I have done it in the past a vaguely remebering hitting control and a letter and it worked-

Re: Help with image
for microsoft word you bring you photo into the program and then use format option.. which brings up all your color options.. I do believe the transparency option is in there.. Heck.. I had it open yesterday..LOL.. Trying to remember.. I know it's in that part for sure..
Re: Help with image
Nah - only get options like square, through text, in front of etc etc. and with pictures that have the box around them I just can't get the background to come inside that square and I KNOW there is a way!!! Frustrated!!!

Re: Help with image
Did you use png files before? They usually have a transparent background so that images behind them will show through. JPG

Re: Help with image
Pardon this post if I am misunderstanding what you want...but I think what you want to use is your "Picture" toolbar....first bring in your background, then bring in your jpeg drawing (or whatever you are using)...if you need to center it or move it around click on it and go to the Picture tool bar and click on the "Text wrapping" box (it has a little dog in it) click on "Through"....place your item where you want it....it still has that white box around it...right?...now go back to the Picture toolbar and click on the "set transparency color" (this tool looks like a pen with an arrow on the tip)....click on the white background.....hope this helps
(if your Picture tool bar isn't showing....go to View...toolbars....picture
p.s. I have XP-Office Suite 2003
