Craft Edge

I found this monster and I got it into an outline, my hope is to draw it on the cricut with the gel pens. However, when I put it into SCAL and trace it... It ends up with a 'double' line outline. I just want a single line. Is this possible? I've attached the original... Also any tips on how to do it would be great. I've now been on here six hours trying to figure something that doesn't seem so difficult out! I know there are some pretty awesome people on here so I figured I'd throw it out there!

Once you've traced it, try breaking it apart.

That was all I had to do! I didn't realize I needed to ungroup after the break apart... duh! Thank you SO much!
