I have tried to install and uninstall, all day.
It says its cutting but it isent.
What do I do? So sick of having these problems everytime I update. Can some one fix this?

Have you sent an email to support@craftedge.com
If they haven't gottten back to you due to the holiday, I would deactivate SCAL by doing the following steps:
Start the SCAL2 program
Click About under the Help menu
Hold down the Shift key and click in the about window
It will ask to de-activate
Then uninstall your current SCAL2 software.
Then follow this link and download and install either update 8 or update 5

Those updates normally work fine for most users.
Also, make sure your USB cable is connected directly to your computer and not through a USB hub.

I followed your instructions,I deactivated,downloaded update 5, when I tried to activate, it wouldnt except my serial number, when clicking on manual activation, it asked for activation code, I dont have that.
Support never replys to my emails,what am I to do now?

I haven't had a problem with CE responding to my emails. It may be that support is gone due to the holiday weekend. I normally get a reply in 24 hours when I sent the email to support@craftedge.com (The other contact form on the CE doesn't appear to be working.) Also, make sure you add support@craftedge.com to your email address book so their replies don't get put into a spam folder.happy2scrap56 wrote:Deloris

I think the problem is that you have tried to install and uninstall too many times. SCAL is programmed to allow 2 installations so that's why you have to deactivate each one before reinstalling. (Craftedge can go into their computer and reset so that you can install update 5 again and activate it.)

One other thing I thought of. If you have problems with it hanging up at the cutting stage, try moving your USB cable to a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes that fixes the problem.

do not understand the problem exactly
"It says its cutting but it isent."
do you mean you told it to cut by it didn't cut anything?
or it freezes and doesn't cut?
If you do a preview, does it show the cut lines correctly?

no it doesnt freeze up, just says cutting, finished, but did nothing...

I am unable to use scal 2 at all, since uninstalling. I reinstalled older version ,now it only freezes up, cant believe it is still a problem after all this time, terrible service and I have highly recommended people do not buy this program, when ever there is an update , it creates terrible problems, that never get fixed.new releases should not happen unless its tested and WORKS!
