Help with this picture please

I have found this Indiana Jones picture which would be fab for a birthday card for my son but can someone please help
with regard to making it simpler. I am happy to add detail such as stuble and other bits by hand.

New to this and dont know where to start.

I didn't look at our svg file but mardenz has a few already already to go she does really nice work they are free as well but does say help support her ADDICTION (lol) with donations.
