Mac Folk - - - I need your help!

My mac is about 5 years old & I have been successfully using Scal 1 with my baby bug for the last 2 years.
Although it is running Leopard - I was not able to upgrade to Scal 2. Not intel based, apparently.
My problem is I have just bought an expression & Scal 1 wont work. My E is v.2.31.
Scal says it's checking & connecting - but then nothing happens.
You guys are so great! I'm so hoping you can help me!

Make sure you are selecting an Expression when the cut dialogues appear.

I'm sorry I had the same problem and your mac needs to be an intel mac.

Thanks Todd - When the cut dialogue box appears it doesn't say expression or anything, but checking mat etc.
I think I have an early version of SCAL.
I have never had a problem with it before.
