My first tile

Post by chubbygal60 »

This is my first time working with vinyl. I translated "Bless this house and all who enter" into Spanish. I created the layout in photo software and then traced the jpeg in scal2. For me, creating the text in a software I know well, was much easier and quicker than creating it directly in scal2 which i am just learning to use. While my first project wasn't as difficult as I had envisioned it in my head, I think with practice I'll learn to get better. So my advise to those thinking of trying vinyl, do it! If I can do it, you can!

It's amazing how much more creative you can be with the scal software. It's like riding a bike without training wheels! And there are so many wonderful folks on this forum who are so willing to help us through our trial and errors. And for this I am very thankful!

Hope you all have a super week!

Great job and good idea- we have many Latinos in my neck of the woods of Indiana who would like this....
