need a font please hope someone can help

have googled and cannot find what i am looking for,hoping someone hear can help.i would like a font that will give me basic shapes when i click on it especially a single dot on its own as i want to make something in my graphic software and was surprised when i pressed the dot key it came up square in shape. my aim is i want to make a dotted circle using the text to path in psp 9 so why i need above

There's a free online font called "instant regular" which has various basic shapes and dots, too.

Facinating font! But I can't get Inkscape to 'see' it. Do you have any suggestions how to get Inkscape to 'see' it? SCAL 'sees' it.
