Question on using a SVG file

*sigh* Now I'm back on the fence trying to decide. I was really hoping to stay completely away from inkscape. I'm not interesting in designing, but just purchasing other's work and being able to use it simply with one program.

Depending on how the items are arranged, you might be able to use the overhang technique where the part you don't want to cut is positioned outside the cuttable area of the mat.

As a last resort, you can also load scrap paper under the areas you don't need cut.
