MH 871 US Cutter

someone please help me!!!

I just bought a US Cutter MH 871 cutter. I hate the SignCut software it came with!!!! I already had SCAL 2 so i upgraded to 3. I am having the hardest time installing the driver!!!! I finally did get the driver to install but my computer is recognizing it as a printer---is it supposed to do this?? When I try to cut from SCAL 3 it tells me that the US cutter machine cannot be found---which to me means that the driver is not installed correctly---is this the problem??? if anyone knows please help!!!

Are you telling it to cut with your machine? You have to let it know what you are using.

yes, i set it to US Cutter.

Hi I sent you an email with my phone number and included information if you have any questions ask and I will help with what I can. ok what you may need to do is go to the help and install the drivers for the blackcat cutter I know but it does help having it installed. then shut down the conmputer turn on the UScutter and restart the computer wait for the full set up to get thru did it find a new hardware and install if not then check to make sure it is connected properly, are you using the usb printer cable or serial converter cable? I use the ubs printer cable with no issues, now open Scal 3 then go to select your cutter and then place the image on the mat. now if I have more than one cutting machine on at the same time IE: the Cougar and the Us cutter I get an error message and does not cut to the machine. make sure your Baud rate is set correctly in the control panel of your divice mangagers window mine I can find by going to contral panel- drvive manager to com and ltp click it to expand there is where the setting window make sure us cutter is set at 9600
