Fonts not showing up on table

I have several fonts that aren't showing up on my fonts table and two, in particular, are fonts that I am dying to use and would really like to figure out how to get them to show up. I have taken them out and then reinstalled them in my fonts folder in my control panel, refreshed the font table and even tried rebooting and they still aren't showing., Any ideas how to get ALL fonts to show up?

What do you mean "install" the fonts? What operating system do you have? I have Windows XP Pro and all I do is copy the unzipped TTF file to my C:\Windows\Fonts directory. Some people put their fonts in different directories and as long as they have those directories open, they are able to see them in SCAL.

How do you download fonts? Do you unzip them, and if so, how? I use Firefox and whenever I download a zipped file, it prompts me to unzip it - all automatic, very easy to use.

I put all fonts into my fonts file in my Control Panel. I am running Windows Vista, but ran XP for a long time and that is the only way I knew to have the fonts "installed" to use on my computer. I have done it this way as long as I can remember and never had any problems with not being able to find fonts. I always understood that to install fonts, they had to be put in that font file in the Control Panel.

I'm sorry, I don't know Vista. In XP, I just copy fonts to the Fonts folder. Do you see the fonts in other programs, such as Word? Do you have other fonts that live only in your Control Panel that you can see in SCAL? You might try making sure the folder where your fonts live is open and see if they appear for SCAL. Otherwise, do you have a Windows\Fonts folder? I think this differs between XP and Vista. I don't think I can help you much - wish I could!

All of my fonts are showing up everywhere except for the SCAL software. I only have the trial right now, could that be my problem???? All of them are even showing up on my Wishblade software that isn't compatible with Vista, so I am not sure what the problem is.

I think they should show up in even in the trial. The trial only puts cuts in your design so that you cannot really use it. I don't know how to help you any further, wish I did!

I wish you could too!!! I just joined a Yahoo group and posted there as well, so I am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I am looking forward to using this software but I want all of my fonts to work!!!!

Oh, one thing to try that I've read from other postings is to open the folder where the fonts are located, then open SCAL and see if they appear. If not, then you might send an email to Todd and ask him - tell him everything you've done, what your operating system is, where the fonts live, other programs that can see the fonts, and where you got some of the fonts. That's all I have to offer. Good luck!!!

Sorry just to ask can you see the name of the font in the library window? Yesterday, I could see the name of the font in the Library window and could select it but it would not shot the font in the Shapes table. I did however just start typing on the mat after selceting the font and the letters did come up fine. I'm a complete newbie so i'm sorry if my explantion is a bit basic!
