download of scal 2

In order to install on new computer, I had to get tech support to send me to a down load site to re-down load the program. I'm wondering if all of the updates will be in this d/l. Has anyone else had to do this and can answer my question?

If you received the email and link right from Tech it should be the last download version availabe.. 2.043

Actually the download from the site...I had my HD blow out on me and needed to reload everything, and no backup...anyways I went to Craft Edges website and they have a link where you enter in your license and verification stuff and you can download the most current version..mine was 2.044.

Got new computer, reinstalled SCAL 2 and everything is great. Thanks for the help

I can't get scal 2 to work on my new laptop. it works great on my desktop. I put the cd in and follow directions, put the serial number and activation code in but when I go to cut on the cricut expression it says it cannot connect to the usb driver. PLEASE, what does that mean? I have all the drivers i need on the pc, but it just doesn't work. what can i do now? where is the websigte you go to or the link you gio to to download the program? NEED ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME, I AM A PC DUMMY!!!!

ANOTHER QUESTION THAT HAS BEEN ASKED 2000 TIMES AND ANSWERED IN 2000 DIFFERENT WAY. Still not clear. say on feb. 3rd 2012 my pc crashes, i have the disc, the serial number, the activation code number, can i put the disc back in and reinstall it and use the act. code and it will work, some say yes, some say no. which is it please???? Say i have saved the program on an exteernal hard drive and a disc, it will install but will it activate to cut?? PLEASE CAN SOME ONE ANSWER THIS QUESTION. I KNOWYOU CAN REINSTALL THE PROGRAM BUT GETTING IT TO WORK AFTER DEC. 2011 IS MY QUESTION/ THANKS EVERYONE.

I have my SCAL on a USB stick and reinstalled 3 times already now and have never had a problem.. Also go to craftedge.com and go to the download page http://craftedge.com/download/download.html and go to the lost software installer.. you can get the download from there..

Same link JoAnne gave... at the bottom is the driver you need for the cutter to work on your new computer. And in the future if you install scal because say that your new computer crashes(hope not) and for some reason it does not activate... you would use the form at this link

And the new download will appear at the bottom that will make it work, or you contact support

and fill out this form and they get back to you very quickly with resolve to the situation.

I hope this helps...maybe print the info to save for the future, although it is all on the craftedge homepage.

thanks for the info, got the scal programon my new laptop, however i noticed that it is not like the one on my desktop. I can remember when I downloaded it to my desktop I had to also download the update for version 2, do I have to do that again?
In the tool bar section of scal it is not showing all the things that the updated version shows, like, breakapart, shadown, etc. is this because I did not go and update it? Getting frustrated that you can't SPEAK to someone when something goes wrong, just impatient I guess to get started back craftingagain.

When you open Scal the first thing that appears has the version number at the top...should be 2.044. Or you can go to the HELP and ABOUT SCAL and open and it will tell you the version, but after it asks do you want to deactivate and be sure to click no.

I never noticed what you are mentioning different in the tool bar.

If you got the download from the lost software installer form, it will be the latest.
