DESPERATE FOR HELP!!! CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT I AM DOING WRONG?

I have been trying to figure this out forever to no avail I am trying to cut out this shape with my cricut and SCAL. I am totally able to get the shape on SCAL but when it cuts out, it cuts out a border of this shape and then I am left with the shape on the inside. Basically I just want my cricut to cut the OUTSIDE border of this shape but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the cricut to cut out just the outside border. I used the font called Bookman Old Style and it came out great but I just can't get it to just cut the outside of it...Can you help me????? I would sooooooooooooo appreciate it Please click the link to see the shape I want to cut out of cardstock...Thanks for your help

OK, I am not sure I understand. Are you getting the outline of the shape but you want the silhouette (solid shape)?

If you will post what you are trying to cut, I will see what I can do.

Okay, you will need to alter the image. You can use Inkscape or something like PhotoShop. You need to fill in the whole shape and make the whole thing black. Then save as a SVG file. Then view it in outline mode in Inkscape to make sure that you don't have any extra cut lines you're not expecting. Then import it into SCAL. Make sense?
