Help with logo/Inkscape please!
Hello! I havent been to this forum in a LONG time!! had a baby girl and got into making hairbows and my cricut collected some dust. BUT here I am again and need some help and I knew this would be the best place to come...I have a logo I have to make 130 of. Its the Army JROTC logo. I have it but when I convert it in INKSCAPE it makes the letters at the bottom blend in too much with the bottom part of the decal. I would like if possible for the letters to be individual and not touching the bottom part..anyone wanna help me??
TIA!!!

Heather, I know how talented you are. I was trying to do the same image for the person that posted it but I had trouble getting all the pieces to work together. I got close to yours, but I seemed to have trouble when I grouped the pieces and it seems it might be inner rectangular frame giving me problems. When I have everything groups and if I choose path union I get a "one of the objects is not a path" message at the bottom. Can you see what I might be doing wrong? If I am asking too much, just let me know. I understand how valuable time is.

Actually Heather, I do have one more request. Is there anyway you could make it where each letter in JROTC is indidvidual and not touching the ones next to them? Thank you so much!!!

Sandy,
You used Object/Group. Ink won't let you use any of the Path operations on Grouped objects. Also, it looks like the inner frames are stroked Paths. You will need to use Path/Stroke to path on them before you use Path/Union. HTH

Re: Help with logo/Inkscape please!
Okay..here I am again..needing help with this logo. I have to make 130 of these logos. I fit 4 on my 12x24 mat and it literally took like 20 minutes to cut them out. I pulled it into inkscape and did a "simplify" on it and it distorted it pretty bad. Anyone know how I can get this to cut faster, without taking away from image? Thanks so much!!!
I have attached the final svg, since the first one I posted has been changed.

Maybe try to simplify in Scal...it really does not mess things up.
