Acrylic Tumblers with Lid & Straw

Post by hkvalerio »

Please help! I am looking for plain clear acrylic tumblers (like Starbucks cold drink cups). I had placed an order with discountmugs.com (don't EVER order from them) ten days ago and they just now emailed to tell me they don't have them in stock. I had ordered them with my son's school logo on them but at this point I want to be able to go to a store to purchase them and put the logo on myself. Need for teacher's appreciation gifts - 55 needed. If anyone knows of where I can buy them for cheap, please let me know. I know many of you have used them and just need to know where you are buying them from. Thank you so much for your help.

If you go to smartbuygal.com, there is a catagory called tumblers, tumblers, tumblers. In that catagory, there are three others. Where to purchase, tips and tricks and completed tumblers.

You will probably have to register to get all of the information.

I just ordered some and cost me $92 for 24. Clear ones with lids and straws. Free shipping.

Thanks for all your help. I ended up going to Bed, Bath & Beyond and buying them but they were a little more than I wanted to pay. They were 2 for $8 but the manager gave me 20% off my entire purchase. I had to buy 52 of them and only had enough 20% off coupons for 19. They are real good quality so I'm happy with them. The ones that I originally ordered on discountmugs.com were the same price but included my logo printed on both sides. From what I read on that other forum that some of you suggested, discountmugs.com is pretty poor quality and don't package the cups well so they come broken. I'm glad I got my money back from them. Now, to decide on whether or not I want to attempt to put a vinyl logo on them or just use them as is. Hmmm... I would have to make 52. Does that seem like a huge task? It does to me considering I have never attempted to use vinyl. I have two weeks to complete them and wrap them. :?

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble with the tumblers. Is your son's school logo an easy cut? Would you be able to recruit some help? Maybe you can wrap them in tissue paper and some curling ribbon in school colors. I hope this project works out the way you want it to. Good luck!

Thanks, I need all the luck I can get. I'm planning on filling the tumblers with crinkled shredded paper in yellow (school color) and I bought indiv. packets of ice tea, pink lemonade, and cold instant coffee to put in the cups. I'm going to wrap them in cello bags and tie with green (other school color) curly ribbon. I don't have any help available. Here's the logo, tell me, am I crazy? Maybe I'll just leave them plain and make a cool hanging tag with the school logo.

BTW if I decided to do the logo in vinyl I was going to just do it all in green. I have a file already made with just the shield, cross and letters.

Heather, that's a nice looking logo. It would make a nice looking tumbler and cutting it in one color would certainly make it easier. I really like your idea of the cello bags and packets of drinks. Too bad you can't get any help. I'd volunteer if I lived closer. :) You know what you can handle, so go with your gut feelings about it. I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be fine and look very nice.
