I've had AI since CS5 was released. I just don't like to use it, and pretty much only use it for the OTF extra glyphs.

I know you don't like to use it. That's why I was surprised when I saw Illustrator in your post.

I do really like the extra glyphs in some of the OTF, so I do use it fairly often for that. 
ETA: I convert the font to Path, then take it into Ink to edit it though.
