Post by bobbij »

Greetings all,
I am new around these parts, but I am really need help. I am looking for an SVG for something that looks like a John Deer Gator. I can't seem to find one any place and can't make one on my own. Any help at all would be so much appreciated.

Thank you for the speedy reply. That is a great file. However the John
Deer Gator looks more like a jeep with a bed attached to it. I will try to attach a photo I got off the internet.

Here's what I got when I traced your image in inkscape. You could also create a shadow base in SCAL2.

Thank you so much. I tried to do a trace and mine did not look anything like yours. I am not so good at this sort of thing. Can I send a big hug through cyber space???? How would I do the layer you mentioned?

I would open both layers in SCAL, copy and paste the green layer. At this point you will have one black layer, and two green layers. Highlight one of the green layers and on the right side of your screen, change the "normal" mode to "shadow". I tried it using .5 scale and it looked pretty good. You could play around with it.

Thank you so much. I can't wait to try it. But for now I must go buy food for this household. I would much rather play with the paper and files. See why I don't know how to do so much with the Cricut....Always life gets in the way.....Thanks again. I will try to let you know how it goes..Hugs, Bobbi

Here is something I came up with. I have not cut this, but it might not cut with vinyl very good if you cut this small.
