Can I do something so I can cut this?

I have a logo from my daughters swim team that I would love to cut and put on a water bottle for her. The problem is the shark has to many lines when I pull it in. Is there anything I can do to simplify it so I can cut it out in vinyl?

Thanks! After I posted that I realized I needed more vinyl. I just came back to try to open it in sure cuts a lot (the new file) but I get an error message and it shuts down on me. Any ideas why?

I'm not sure why it does that.. It opens fine in mine..

I have been trying to figure out how to get this darn thing open and I can't. Any tips on what you did to remove some of the extra lines that I could try on my own?

Are you using SCal 1 or 2??? To get any xtra lines deleted providing you use SCAL2.0 just click on the little tool bar on the nodes option and then click the note so it's blue and then hit your backspace button on your keyboard to delete the node..I've attached an svg for you if you have inkscape.. Try opening the svg in SCAL

Wonder what the issue is about opening Sweetness's file...it just opened for me fine. Looks great!
And the .svg opens perfectly fine too.
