Help with Star Wars

I need to make a Star Wars glass block by Wednesday. No pressure, right? I've found a couple of images that I think I can use by cannot for the life of me learn how to break apart the layers correctly. I'm sure I'm just experiencing a mental block or having a "duh" moment. I am not very experienced, but up till now have been able to do simple things.
I'm attaching the images hoping that someone can break them apart into layers for me.
Thanks for all the inspiration you all have given me over the last few months and thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Your images are way too small. You won't get very good results..

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I think I'm in way over my head on this one. The customer requires both Luke & Chewbacca on the same block and since the block is only about 6 inches square the images themselves can't be very big. She's going to be really disappointed...
