Holiday CD Album

Post by ChristinaLucido »

I came across some rogue holiday CD when I was re-organizing my office and decided to make a small 6"x6" album to hold them all in and keep them safe. I used SCAL and created a CD jacket and some die-cuts for each page and added some pieces of recycled holiday cards, stickers and punches for decoration.

I also created a special tag for the front. I started with a nice shape for the mat of my title then I made another layer with a smaller nested shape. I created a third, smaller layer to draw an outline around the top layer and give me a small border outside the line. Some recycled paper scrap and some stickers and I was done. Here is the cover of my album...

I've attached the SCAL file for the title mat on the front cover. The file for the CD sleeves was cutting weird so I'm going to try to fix it and I'll re-post when I get it working right. You can see more photos from this project and read more about it on my blog The Craft Corner!

Happy crafting,
Christina

There are 2 layers. Top layer is to draw the outline and cut a blackout shadow of it. The bottom layer is a slightly larger mat.

What a cool idea. I have a bunch of dvds that I don't have jewel cases for, keeping them in zip lock bags for now, I can use this idea to organize that mess, and make use of misc. scraps. Thanks for sharing this.

Not a problem. :) It would be great to see a picture when you're done, I'd love to see what you come up with.
