Newbie question about a a decal

Post by tee1172 »

I have a notre dame file saved that I would like to use to do etching how do I get the decal to cut right. How do I get the logo to print out just the outline and not the blackout or shadow because you can't see that it is a N with a D over it. i hope I explained this ok. Sorry if this question has been asked before. Thanks in advance.

You need to create a stencil of the image like I have done here for my Airbrush tattoo business.

If you want to ask questions of this the best way to do so is to phone and I can walk you through it inside of inkscape.

Yes, the gentleman above is correct. You'll need to create a reverse-weeded stencil. Here is a tutorial that we offer for making vinyl stencils:

Hope this helps. :) Michelle
