plain page border for welding onto

Post by judyhoo »

Hi, I am a new "scal-gal" - - looking for a plain page border that I can weld some svg and letters onto, resizeable would be best so I could do 8X8 or 12X12 pages.

Thanks

You can achieve this right in Scal.. Just take one square and a smaller version of that same square and place the smaller one inside the larger on then weld your letters to it..

If I'm understanding what you want, you want to make a frame and then weld on the inside? You can do this in SCAL2, but you will need to select both shapes for your frame and use Path/Exclude. Then you can use weld on the inside.

Another option if you want to make a true 12x12 page is to make all of your pieces for the inside, position them where you want them and use Path/Union on them. Then position and size your inner frame where you want it and select both the inner pieces and the frame piece and use Path/Front minus back. This uses your original page edge for the outside edge rather than creating a frame. HTH
