Inkscape HELP!!

Post by Milangal »

OK, so HOW do I make my text cut without the grid lines? I've tried selecting the text and text to path, then selecting both the gridlines(drawn with the Bezier tool) and text and union and pretty much everything I could think of. HELP! It looks like the top when I import it into SCAL so it will cut like the top but I want it to look and cut like the bottom (with the letters uninterrupted by the lines).

First make sure that there are no Groups, then select everything except for the text. From the menu use Path/Stroke to path. Select everything and Path/Union. HTH

I'd thought I'd done all of that and couldn't get it. However, I did realize later it was better to have things separate as those grid lines wouldn't cut well. I figured out a better way. Thanks!
