Could someone help me get this converted to an SVG? I cannot get inkscape to do it for me.

Much better. The large picture traces really well right in SCAL. No need for Inkscape. Do you know how to use the trace feature? If not, I can give you a step by step or recommend a video or two if you prefer.

I only have SCAL 1, I do not have the trace feature. That is why I have to use InkScape and can never get it to work correctly.

Just increase your brightness cutoff threshold to 0.65 and it will give you a good trace. I have a post on my blog about using Inkscape to trace non-ideal images.
