aperture card/design in SCAL

Post by gregevacall »

Can an aperture card be done with SCAL? Like the one that Dan99 did in a video but not with inkscape.

Thanks,
Eva

Yes it can now with SCAL2. draw and select the card outline and the aperture shape and do path>exclusion first. Then type your text and weld it to the card/aperture.

Kay,

ohhhh! I am so frustrated! I can't use the path/exclusion it is all greyed out! I have downloaded the newest version that is supposed to fix it but I guess not.

I am running snow leopard.

Any other suggestions?

thanks,
Eva C.

Eva,
Make sure that you have both things selected and that the one is completely within the other. If that doesn't work, close and reopen SCAL. I get one path operation before I have to do this.

It's SCAL that doesn't play nice with my Snow Leopard. ;)

Kay,
I used to sometimes be able to get one operation before it was greyed out but now none. I was hoping it was me this time.

Thanks so much for your help. Maybe they'll fix it soon so I can try out your instructions.
