Post by scraphappysue »

Does anyone have a svg or scut of the Mackinac Bridge that they would be willing to share? TIA

I have the silhouette on my blog. This one really brings back a lot of memories, though I haven't been over the bridge in quite a while now. :D

That was all done using the Bezier tool with a photo in Inkscape. :D The bezier tool is really pretty quick and easy to use in Ink, not so much in SCAL.

BTW, you probably think I'm a loon, connecting the Mackinac bridge with the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. In my mind they are tied together from all of the trips to Houghton over the bridge. :D

No...LOL....I don't think you are a loon....I figured the water in that one picture...the thunderstorm...is what triggered your thoughts. It looked pretty scary!
I really have to take the time to learn Inkscape better. Thanks again!!!

Heather,
You did a great job on the bridge. I was thinking to myself yesterday, that this will need to be redrawn as most of the pictures I found didn't have enough contrast to convert with the two white towers. I love going across the bridge. Try it on a motorcycle when you have to ride the grid instead of the pavement and you can see right down to the water. It is pretty exciting.

Um, no thanks. I didn't even like walking across the lift bridge between Houghton and Hancock.
