Can anyone help me convert this to a usable SVG?

Post by SCDJ1125 »

I have been trying to cut the attached file for a week now...everytime I trace it, the edges come out very rounded.

Is there any way around this problem?

I'll take any help I can get to cut this out.

A better quality image would give you a cleaner trace. This one is only 285x186 pixels. If you zoom in on the image you can see that there is no real detail/definition to the edges. HTH

I believe this is the only version of the image that exists. Is there any way to enhance the current one?

Thanks for the help btw.

Wow thanks.

I've spent the last hour trying to figure out how to do this.

I downloaded Topaz...an image enhancing program...but with this new computer, I didn't know which image viewing/editing program to use it on.

Any advise on how to do this to images in the future?

I did this in Inkscape. Since it was only three colors and no shading I used path trace bmp then used the 2nd option Multiple scans creates a group of paths. Chose Colors then changed the SCANs to 3 (for three colors) unchecked smooth and Stack Scan and selected Remove background. then hit the update then OK. It is in Groups and didn't know if you wanted groups or not so I selected Object Ungroup then saved it as svg.
