Here you go for a site. Just open the wmf files in Inkscape and save them as svg. You do have to join but it's free and you get several a week to download

If i save a file in inkscape from this website, do i just "save as" or do i need to do something else.?

from the website you save the wmf file, open it in inkscape and it is in vector form and ready to take apart or just save as a svg. I haven't downloaded from there in a long time but I remember the wmf file but not svg. That I believe you do yourself.
