Newbie...great place

I'm new to SCAL and cricut. My cricut is on it's way. But, thanks to this forum, I've got a big library full of files ready to cut, and have watched every youtube video I could find.
I'm going to be cutting fabric appliques for clothing and quilting. I'd love any suggestions someone may have about cutting appliques.
