When I make a project in inkscape, save as svg, then open in SCA it is MUCH larger. Example I made a box 5.5 inches by 1.5 inches. When I opened in SCA it was 48 inches wide! Why the difference? How to I allow for this? TIA

Wow, my shapes are always so small. There is a post someplace (have no idea where it is now since the different forums were added) about sizing Inkscape for SCAL.
Good luck finding it...if I run across in my scouring the site, I will post the link.

when you make your project in Inkscape look at the box on the top tool bar where the different measurements are and make sure before you save your file that the measurements are set to inches ( SCAL reads inches).
Take a note of the height of your project ( from the bounding box) then save your file and when you open SCAL go to the font window and change the size of the font so that is equal to the height of your project.
When you import your file it should be the same size as in Inkscape.

Wow, thanks for solving that mystery for me. I've been wondering about this for a long time. Looking forward to trying this trick next time I import from inkscape.
