When the foil is touching 2,3 and 5 the foil should be facing away from you. If the foil is facing you, you will be connecting 6,8 and 9.

Todd
can you email me at pamandrandy@gmail.com I would like to ask more questions on this procedure. I am very new to the cricut and a mother of 3 so any savings is greatly appreciated. I am not that computer savy either.

Thank you

Use your print screen or snipping tool and print off a copy of the overlay and you are good to go. Congratulations.

What a great way to do this. And I have lots of extra slot club cards that I could have used. Thanks for posting. Is it ok if I copy your thread and add it to my original post?

So I make a copy of the George overlay to use with one of these homemade carts. I put it in between two pieces of clear contact paper and guess what? It is pliable and if you cut it to the right size it fits in your machine and works almost as well as an original overlay.
