Yes, they do. I didn't realize this the first time I tried it since they show in the layers window as a folder. There is a triangle next to the folder that you can click to show all of the layers in the svg. You can also just select the svg image on the mat, ungroup it, then move the pieces around or delete them. I found selection of individual components acted like SCAL 1 though, unless I opened the layer folder and worked in the individual layers.talanhart wrote:If I make an SVG file with layers and open it in SCAL 2, will the images go into separate layers?

I am loving this feature as I can turn off and on the various layers to make my cuts and yet keep them all on the same page at the same time.
Really helps in paper piecing.
